In the heart of Moldavia, surrounded by old monasteries, Han Maria Guesthouse heartily welcomes its visitors. A quite place, blessed by God, a place that brings calm and inner peace. A place where you can rest in the shade of an old cherry tree and feel the smell of newly cut grass. Or, if you get here when summer greets autumn, you can taste the sweet black grapes still hanging in the vine that keeps shade. We are waiting for you, traveler, with tidy, lovely smelling rooms, with delicious dishes and people who will greet you with a warm smile! And to make sure you won’t forget any time soon that you visited us, we promise to amaze you with fresh and tasty dishes as only the Moldavian people use to prepare for their beloved guests. We’re going to serve you smoked sausages, boletus stew, or a hen soup, a monk’s soup or a tripe soup. After such a feast, you cannot miss the desert: a piece of delicious cheese cake covered with blueberry sauce, or golden puddings in cream sauce, or even better a traditional custard tart well browned on the hob, so that you can truly feel that you’re in the land of Ion Creangă’s childhood.
We are waiting for you, wanderer, to grasp the smell of earth watered by rain, to roll your eyes over the greeny hills, or sit on the porch, wrapped in the intoxicating smell of flowers, listening to the song of the crickets playing in the grass.
