Bicaz Gorges – Bicaz – Durău

When you reach Bicaz Gorges, you wonder whether you are dreaming or awake and you can barely grasp the big rocks thrown on the road, which, should you climb up, you would reach the skies. Then, immediately after descending along the creek, towards Neamţ area, you find other gorges, other stone giants, with their caves and their own stories. If you think there is nothing else that could enchant you after all you have seen, you should know that the excitement is just beginning: now, when the path to Ceahlău, the Olympus of the Carpathian or the Holy Mountain of the Dacians, whatever you may call it, looms in front of your eyes. Whatever the trail you may chose to climb and set your eyes on, tens of hundreds of rocks varying in size and shape pop up in your way. Each of them is shrouded in legend, and up there on the horizon of Ceahlău, under the warm embrace of the sun, you feel both the majesty of heaven and earth, and feel you are a proud descendant of the ancient gods.
